[FOX5] The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Monday released images of a suspect wanted in the stabbing death of a newspaper reporter. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who they say was involved in the homicide that took place on Sept. 3 near Vegas Drive and Tenaya Way. Authorities said previously that officers found journalist Jeff German, 69, dead with stab wounds around 10:30 a.m. Saturday after police received a 911 call.

[WION] A Las Vegas investigative reporter has been stabbed to death outside his home. Around 10:40 on Saturday, September 3rd, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers responding to a 911 call discovered 69-year-old Jeff German with stab wounds, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, where the journalist worked. The executive editor of the Review-Journal, Glenn Cook, where Jeff worked asserted that the journalist had not informed anyone in charge of the newspaper of any concerns about his personal safety or any threats made against him.

[REVIEWJOURNAL] “The Review-Journal family is devastated to lose Jeff,” Executive Editor Glenn Cook said. “He was the gold standard of the news business. It’s hard to imagine what Las Vegas would be like today without his many years of shining a bright light on dark places.” Las Vegas police said Sunday morning the homicide investigation is a top priority for the department. “LVMPD enacted its major case protocol Saturday in the homicide investigation,” the department said. “This brings together a variety of resources to maximize the investigative effort and apply a sense of urgency to the apprehension of the suspect.”
