[INSIDER] Ten people were killed in a mass stabbing spree in Saskatchewan, Canada, on Sunday. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they received a call at 5:40 a.m. about a stabbing at the James Smith Cree Nation. Melfort RCMP said 15 people have also been injured and believe some victims at the James Smith Cree Nation, and in Weldon, Saskatchewan were targeted at random.
[INDEPENDENT] The official said police are “dedicating maximum resources” to catching the perpetrators. The assailants allegedly commited a string of attacks in 13 locations throughout the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon. Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau said his office is monitoring the situation. “The attacks in Saskatchewan today are horrific and heartbreaking. I’m thinking of those who have lost a loved one and of those who were injured,” he said on Twitter on Sunday.
