In a heart-wrenching tragedy that has shaken San Jacinto County, Texas, an 18-wheeler carrying 2,800 gallons of sulfur dioxide overturned, killing the driver and releasing over 1,300 gallons of toxic chemicals into the air. The spill forced frantic evacuations within a three-mile radius as residents fled their homes to escape the suffocating fumes. A school bus carrying 29 children drove through the contaminated area, leaving students and the driver coughing and hospitalized with respiratory issues. Hazmat crews worked through the night to contain the spill while terrified families waited for answers.
