In a gut-wrenching tragedy that has left Jacksonville reeling, an 8-month-old baby was killed after being placed in the street and run over by a vehicle during a heated argument between two adults, believed to be the child’s parents. The horrifying incident unfolded on Saturday morning at the intersection of Lenox and McDuff Avenues when the driver stopped the car, opened the door, and placed the infant on the ground before driving off—striking the baby in the process. Emergency responders rushed the child to a hospital, but it was too late.
