Sisters Reportedly Arrested After 17 Patients Found in Illegal Post-Cosmetic Surgery

Unlicensed Surgery Recovery House Busted

In a shocking revelation, two sisters were reportedly arrested and charged with operating an unlicensed post-cosmetic surgery recovery home in Miami. The sisters, aged 38 and 35, had reportedly been running the illegal operation out of a residential property, putting numerous patients at risk.

Patients Reportedly Found in Unsanitary Conditions

Police reportedly executed a search warrant at the sisters’ residence and were shocked to discover 17 patients inside, three of whom were awaiting cosmetic surgery. Four employees were also present. The patients had paid a substantial fee for their stay, expecting a safe and hygienic recovery environment.

Hygiene and Health Hazards

The patients reportedly paid $250-$300 per night in cash for their stay, with an additional $250 deposit paid over the phone. For this fee, they allegedly received assistance with personal tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and taking medication. However, the sisters were allegedly unqualified to provide such care, and the premises were unsanitary, with medical waste disposed of in regular trash cans rather than biohazard bins.

Serious Charges Laid

The older sister reportedly faces 14 felony charges, including operating an unlicensed assisted living facility and multiple waste violations. She also faces two misdemeanors. Her younger sister has reportedly been charged with one felony for operating an unlicensed facility and two additional felonies for waste violations, as well as two misdemeanors. Both have reportedly pleaded not guilty.

Crackdown on Unlicensed Operations

This incident is the latest in a series of crackdowns on allegedly illegal post-operative recovery homes in the area. Authorities are urging the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity, as these unlicensed facilities pose a significant risk to patient safety.
