CAUGHT ON CAMERA | Wild Courthouse Escape Attempt: Ohio Inmate Breaks Cuffs And Throat-Punches Deputy

REPORT (KEZI9): Shocking courthouse surveillance video captured the moment an inmate broke through his handcuffs and viciously attacked multiple sheriff’s deputies during a desperate escape attempt.

Timothy Regal reportedly had just been sentenced for assault and failing to comply with a police officer when he suddenly throat-punched the deputy escorting him. 

The chaotic footage appears to show Regal bulldozing his way through a second deputy, violently tumbling down a stairwell, and making a mad dash for the front doors.

His escape was narrowly thwarted when a deputy successfully deployed a Taser, bringing Regal down just before he could reach the outside. While reinforcements secured the suspect, a bystander who was at the courthouse for an unrelated matter rushed to help the bloodied deputy left on the hallway floor.

Both injured deputies were reportedly transported to the hospital with reported head and back injuries. Regal is now facing additional severe charges, including felony escape and assault on two police officers.
