Here Is The Statement From Police:

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man and a woman that occurred at 5314 Palmetto about 2:20 a.m. on Friday (July 29).  

The suspect, a juvenile male, 16, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile probation authorities on a capital murder charge.

The female victim, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The male victim, 43, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.  The identities of both victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault and B. Chebret and Officer J. Dodson reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and made contact with two juveniles inside the residence.  Officers entered and found the male and female in their bedroom. Both had sustained gunshot wounds. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence.  

Further investigation identified the juvenile male as the suspect in this case. He was taken into custody and subsequently charged. [CLICK HERE FOR FULL STATEMENT]

The Houston Chronicle reported a 16-year-old accused of killing his parents called police and told them he’d heard gunshots in their bedroom and seen a masked man in their southwest Houston house, prosecutors said Monday.

But when police arrived, the teen disabled the home’s security system and let them in, Assistant District Attorney John Brewer said in juvenile court.

Police arrested the 16-year-old when he was “not able to give a convincing story of any kind,” Brewer said. Police found a .22-caliber pistol and a note on the kitchen counter, but no evidence of a robbery or burglary or any sign of forced entry, he said. [FULLSTORY]

ABC13 says a source close to the investigation told Eyewitness News that the 16-year-old called 911. The source also says a note was found by the gun, which read: “I’ve been watching you.”

The Armstrongs run First Class Training, a gym in Bellaire. Antonio Armstrong is known for advocating health and fitness. He was a motivational speaker, posting videos on YouTube. The latest one was posted last week. Antonio played football for Texas A&M and then for the Miami Dolphins as a linebacker. He also coached the Southwest Football League for a decade. [FULLSTORY]
