Florida has deployed additional personnel and assets to southern Florida and the Keys to prevent a potential influx of immigration from Haiti.

This action includes over 250 officers and soldiers, along with air and sea craft, from various state agencies like the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida National Guard, and Florida Highway Patrol.

The deployment aims to enhance security and surveillance efforts in South Florida and the Keys under Operation Vigilant Sentry to combat immigration at sea.
