Rappers Snoop Dogg and Master P are suing Walmart and Post Foods, alleging that the companies conspired against their breakfast cereal brand, according to published reports.
Reportedly, the lawsuit claims that Walmart and Post Foods intentionally hid Snoop Cereal from store shelves, leading to a significant drop in sales.
The rappers’ company, Broadus Foods, alleges that this was in retaliation for refusing to sell the cereal outright.
Walmart and Post Foods have stated that the product’s low sales were the reason for its limited availability.
The lawsuit, filed in Dakota County, Minnesota, seeks a jury trial and damages exceeding $50,000. The rappers are being represented by high-profile civil rights attorney Ben Crump.
