Inmate Escapes From LA Sheriff Transport In West Hollywood. An inmate was recaptured after he escaped from custody while being loaded into a sheriff’s department transport and ran into a West Hollywood neighborhood Friday, authorities said. The inmate was found in the 6300 block of Glade Avenue in Woodland Hills around 5:30 p.m. after he escaped from deputies and scaled a station fence, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release. The escape happened while the inmate was handcuffed and prompted a massive search.
