ABC News Responds To Claims They Unlawfully Entered Property. Tuesday, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) issued a sharply worded public reminder about the laws that govern media access to evacuation zones after an incident involving members of the media Monday. According to the SCSO press release, a media crew had escorted a citizen into the evacuation zone in their vehicle and entered a private property, where a relative of that citizen was later found deceased. The release stated the home had not been processed by investigators.
