REPORT (KOMO): A 13-year-old boy was arrested in Pierce County following threats of school violence and claims of access to guns, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest took place early on Saturday after authorities received information about the boy’s intentions.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, along with SWAT, executed a seizure of person warrant at the boy’s home.

The teen was taken into custody without incident and later booked into Remann Hall. Investigators said the boy was last enrolled in the Franklin Pierce School District in 2021, but has not been enrolled in any local school district for 4 years.

The ongoing investigation has uncovered a “significant number” of guns, both secured and unsecured, as well as loaded magazines with writings related to school shootings. Authorities also confiscated clothing and writings that suggested a mass shooting scenario, and possibly a manifesto.

According to authorities, the teen seemingly had a hit list of people he wanted to kill and was planning to carry out a shooting at at least one district school.
