A stolen Rolls-Royce led investigators to a high-end car theft ring, with three suspects arrested and six luxury vehicles recovered in a dramatic North Texas crackdown.
A high-stakes car theft ring targeting luxury vehicles has been smashed by Plano police, who—alongside state and federal partners—recovered six high-end stolen cars worth nearly $1.5 million. The bust, which also netted guns, body armor, and auto theft tools, marks one of the most significant recent takedowns of organized auto crime in North Texas.
The investigation began on June 6, when a 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre was brazenly stolen from a valet stand at a Plano restaurant. Surveillance footage quickly pointed detectives to a 2025 Mercedes S63 AMG, already flagged by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Reportedly working with the Dallas Police Department and the FBI, Plano detectives executed search warrants at two connected residences on June 11, uncovering a fleet of stolen luxury vehicles.
Among the recovered cars were a Rolls-Royce Spectre, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Cadillac Escalade-V, Maserati Levante, and Audi RS7. The total value of the haul is estimated at nearly $1.5 million, and all vehicles have since been returned to their rightful owners.
Three suspects were arrested and charged with theft of property over $300,000—a first-degree felony in Texas. One suspect, who remains in custody without bond, was found to have 15 active felony warrants from other agencies. The investigation also led to the seizure of firearms, body armor, and specialized tools used to disable vehicle GPS trackers and facilitate high-end auto theft.
Authorities reportedly say the investigation is ongoing, with the possibility of additional charges, including potential federal indictments, as the full scope of the ring’s activities comes to light.
