A 66-year-old man entrusted as the executor of a dying woman’s will is now accused of pocketing her entire inheritance and funding a lavish lifestyle instead of providing for her family.

In a heartbreaking story of betrayal, a Flourtown man faces charges for allegedly stealing nearly $4 million from a 92-year-old woman who was suffering from dementia. Montgomery County prosecutors say the 66-year-old man was a supposed friend of the victim, who passed away in 2019.

Authorities allege that the man was named the executor of the elderly woman’s will, a position of ultimate trust. However, instead of distributing the inheritance to the woman’s family as legally required, he allegedly kept the entire fortune for himself.

Prosecutors claim the man then went on an astonishing spending spree with the stolen millions. The funds were reportedly used to finance a life of luxury, including extravagant travel, expensive restaurant dining, shopping trips, and even plastic surgery. This shocking case appears to highlight the devastating reality of elder fraud and the exploitation of our most vulnerable citizens.
