Machete Road-Rage HORROR: Ohio Homeowner Ambushes Passing Motorcycle, Passenger Dies

REPORT: Investigators say a rural Preble County resident sprinted to the roadside with a machete, severing a rider’s leg and triggering a fatal bleed-out; the alleged attacker now faces multiple murder counts.

A quiet Sunday night drive turned deadly on a curving township road in Preble County, Ohio, when a passing motorcycle was met by a machete-wielding homeowner in what deputies reportedly call a “random, unprovoked strike.”

According to media reports, the motorcycle was accelerating past a driveway when a man rushed toward the lane and swung the blade, slicing the passenger’s leg so deeply that she bled out within minutes.

The rider sped to a nearby friend’s house to call 911, but first responders could not revive the victim, who had no previous connection to the assailant. Body-camera footage later released by authorities shows deputies’ initial disbelief of the witness account before evidence at the suspect’s property confirmed the machete attack.

Detectives reportedly executed a search warrant and recovered the blood-stained weapon hidden in nearby woods; they say the suspect may have attempted to wash it before officers arrived. Prosecutors have reportedly filed two murder counts, two felonious-assault counts, and additional evidence-tampering charges.

A judge set bond at $1 million and ordered GPS monitoring if bail is posted.
