TRAIN COLLISION CHAOS: Freight Train Crashes into Pickup in Pennsylvania, Injuring Two!

REPORT: Two people were injured when a freight train crashed into a pick-up truck Tuesday morning in Lansdale, #Pennsylvania.

A high-speed impact at the Broad and Vine Streets crossing sends a Dodge Ram into a tanker railcar, derails a freight train, and leaves two critically hurt in early-morning mayhem.

Two individuals were critically injured when a white Dodge Ram pickup collided with a moving Pennsylvania Northeastern Railroad freight train at the SEPTA crossing on Broad and Vine Streets in Lansdale early Tuesday morning.

The crash, which occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m., sent the pickup truck engulfed in flames and derailed one set of wheels on a tanker car, prompting a suspension of service on the Lansdale-Doylestown Regional Rail line until tracks were cleared.

Firefighters from Fairmount Fire Company rescued the occupants, who were then transported by VMSC Emergency Medical Services to Grand View Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Local media reported that the victims were two teenage boys, both listed in critical condition.

Surveillance footage released shows the truck speeding around the lowered crossing arms before impact, underscoring concerns about signal compliance at the intersection.

Investigators from Lansdale Police, SEPTA, and Montgomery County Major Crimes Detectives are reportedly working to determine the cause of the collision and any potential violations.
