[DON’T EAT IT] Pills sold nationwide contain POISON, FDA warns

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reportedly issued a warning about certain dietary supplements containing a toxic plant called yellow oleander, which poses serious health risks.

These products, labeled as tejocote root or Brazil seed, have been found to contain yellow oleander, a poisonous plant native to Mexico and Central America.

Ingesting this plant can lead to severe health effects, including neurological, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular issues, which can be fatal in some cases.

Symptoms of exposure include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and cardiac changes.

According to published reports consumers who have purchased these recalled products are advised to dispose of them immediately and contact their healthcare provider if they have used them.

The FDA is reportedly actively working to address this issue and is urging consumers to report any adverse events related to these products.
