The body of a missing Tennessee deputy sheriff was found in the Tennessee River, along with the body of a woman he had arrested.

In the shockingly tragic and disturbing incident the deputy’s last communication was reportedly a mysterious text message to his wife that only said “water.”

It is believed that the patrol car turned into the river in the dark after he made an arrest and was headed to the county jail.

The woman’s identity has not yet been confirmed and the investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
