A former NFL linebacker who played for nine seasons, has sparked controversy by reportedly claiming that the NFL is “fake” and likened it to the WWE, suggesting that it is scripted and fixed.
The former player expressed his views on social media following Super Bowl LVIII, where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
His comments have added to ongoing conspiracy theories about the NFL being rigged, a sentiment that has been echoed in the past by other players such as a former Kansas City Chiefs running back.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has dismissed the idea of the league being scripted as “nonsense” and not worth discussing.
