Consumer Reports’ 2023 Annual Auto Surveys ranked car brands based on owner satisfaction.
The survey considered responses from more than 330,000 vehicles from the 2021 to 2023 model years, as well as a few 2024 models.
The owner satisfaction score is based on the percentage of owners who responded “definitely yes” to whether they would buy the same vehicle again, considering price, performance, reliability, comfort, and enjoyment.
The rankings are not solely based on the best-reviewed cars but on how well they meet customer expectations.
The top brands for owner satisfaction included Rivian, Tesla, Porsche, BMW, Genesis, and Lexus, among others.
The survey also revealed the most and least reliable car brands, with Lexus, Toyota, and Mini being the top three most reliable brands based on the average predicted reliability score for vehicles in the brand’s model lineup.
Additionally, Autoblog reported that the Chevrolet Corvette topped the list of the most satisfying cars to own in 2024 according to Consumer Reports.
