A Boeing 787 on a transatlantic flight turned around after 8 of 9 bathrooms reportedly stopped working

A Boeing 787 on a transatlantic flight reportedly had to turn around after 8 of its 9 bathrooms stopped working.

The KLM jet, carrying more than 200 passengers, took off from Amsterdam for Los Angeles, but soon after takeoff, it was discovered that only one bathroom was working.

The pilots initially considered heading back after an hour but continued on before later deciding to turn back.

The plane did a U-turn over Greenland and returned to Amsterdam, resulting in a 6½-hour flight to nowhere.

The faulty plane was subsequently replaced, and the original plane with the faulty restrooms appears to have been fixed overnight, as it flew to Houston and back on the following day.
