[SCARY SPACE NUKE] Is Russia developing space-based nuclear weapon?

The United States has warned Congress and allies in Europe about new intelligence related to Russian nuclear capabilities that could pose an international threat.

The exact nature of the weapon is unclear, but it is believed to be a space-based anti-satellite nuclear weapon.

However, it is important to note that the weapon is not currently in orbit and does not pose an urgent threat.

The White House has confirmed that Russia has obtained a “troubling” emerging anti-satellite weapon, which would violate the international Outer Space Treaty.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has described the claims as a ruse intended to make Congress support aid for Ukraine.

Russia is seen as highly unlikely to put a nuclear warhead in space, and speculation has been mounting following these claims. The U.S. has been aware of Russia’s pursuit of anti-satellite capability for some time.
