Delta flight forced to turn back after maggots fall on passengers

A Delta flight from Amsterdam to Detroit was reportedly forced to turn back after maggots fell from an overhead bin onto the passengers.

The incident occurred an hour into the flight, leading to the decision to return to Amsterdam.

The maggots were reported to have fallen from a bag of rotten fish stored in the overhead compartment.

This gross unusual and unpleasant event caused not only disgust but inconvenience to the passengers and resulted in the flight being rerouted.
