Woman and Dog Survive Lightning Strike in Boston | VIDEO

A woman and her dog were hit by lightning on Monday afternoon while walking near a park in Boston.

  • The woman, who is in her 20s, suffered burns and cardiac arrest. She was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.
  • The dog, a golden retriever, also suffered burns and was treated by a veterinarian. He is expected to make a full recovery.
  • The incident was captured by a nearby surveillance camera, which showed a bright flash and a loud boom as the lightning struck.
  • The National Weather Service said that lightning strikes are rare in Boston, but can happen anytime there is a thunderstorm.
