[WSB|VIDEO] A rescue organization is working to find a forever home for a dog who was left behind at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

The dog, named Baby Girl, was surrendered at the airport after its owner was told the dog’s crate would not fit under the airline seat, WSOC reported.

The owner, who did not want to be identified, told WSOC that she is visually impaired, on a fixed income and unable to afford cargo-transport fees.

The woman said she had no choice but to surrender the dog because she was moving from North Carolina to Iowa. The woman said she left the animal in the care of Furbabies Animal Rescue and left knowing she was in good hands. [FULLSTORY|VIDEO]
