[VIDEO] FOX29 reports four years ago, we told you the incredible and heartbreaking story of Baby Ja’bari Grey – the little baby born here in San Antonio with much of his skin missing.
He was given little chance to survive, but he has and he just celebrated his fourth birthday on Sunday.
He doesn’t look or act like most four year olds and only weighs 18 pounds. Because of his missing skin, his arms fused at the elbow where skin was growing and the same happened with his chin, fusing to the skin on his chest and with one leg.
“So they automatically did a natural thing and attached to where there was skin.”

[VIDEO] News4SanAntonio reported “He’s a fighter, that’s for sure,” said Ja’bari’s mother, Priscilla Maldonado.
“And we wants to be able to do stuff, but he just can’t,” she said. “Like you can see, he is trying and trying and trying and he’s like hey what’s going on and he doesn’t have that balance because of his arms and legs and stuff. He just doesn’t have the balance for his body.”
So next month, he’ll have two more major surgeries to try to release the fusing of one arm and leg.. and around his neck. Surgeries mom hopes will bring more mobility to her developing son, and relieve the public scrutiny and internet trolling this family has received. [FULLSTORY|VIDEO]
