[DAILYRECORD] The heartbroken mum of a Scots teenager found dead in his bedroom has told how he was taking part in the dangerous viral Blackout Challenge. Lauryn Keating, 30, discovered her 14-year-old son Leon Brown unresponsive in his room at their home in Cumbernauld on August 25.
She later learned he had attempted the same terrifying trend that is believed to have caused 12-year-old Archie Battersbee to suffer a fatal brain injury that later led to his death.

Mum Lauryn Keating told the Daily Record the youngster was attempting the “blackout challenge” before she found him unresponsive in his room. The Sun reported the sickening trend has spread across social media sites, and the parents of 12-year-old Archie Battersbee, who died after spending several months on life support, believe he was taking part in the same challenge.
