[LOCAL10|MUGSHOT] A Miami man is facing a second-degree murder charge after police said he killed his mother Tuesday evening in the city’s The Roads neighborhood.
According to a police report, a woman told police that the victim’s daughter called her that day to inform her that she couldn’t reach her mother or her brother, 54-year-old John Calhoun Tucker III, over the phone.
The woman then went to Tucker’s home in the 200 block of Southwest 21st Road, knocked several times, then, having received no answer, called the victim’s daughter to tell her that both Tucker’s vehicle and his mother’s vehicle were parked at the home.
She then entered the unlocked door to find the Tucker’s mother lying on the floor, police said. Police wrote the victim was “unresponsive” and “cold to the touch,” prompting the woman to perform CPR and call 911. [FULLSTORY|MUGSHOT]
