[FOX32|VIDEO] Chicago police are conducting a death investigation after the body of a missing Polish man was recovered from Lake Michigan early Wednesday, days after his disappearance.
Krzysztof Szubert was found unresponsive in the water at Oak Street Beach just before 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive, according to officials.
Police said the 21-year-old man had a laceration to the right side of his head.
He was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Szubert, who was from Tiffin, Poland, had been staying in a hotel since November while working on a project in southwest suburban Joliet as a software developer for Knapp Incorporated, a global tech company. [FULLSTORY]
