[WESH|VIDEO] In a news conference Tuesday, Sheriff Marcos Lopez described what deputies found when they got on scene: a woman with stab wounds to her stomach dead in the living room and another woman with stab wounds to her hands who advised them that a family member attacked them.
“We found him a few blocks away and have arrested him,” Lopez said.
Detectives say the suspect, 21-year-old Matthew Sisley, confessed to intentionally stabbing and killing his mother and accidentally stabbing his sister.
During the interview, he was asked if he thinks his mom deserved to get stabbed, to which he replied, “yes… because she never pushed me to be a man.”
When he was asked if he regrets doing it, he said, “no, I would do it again.”
Sisley went before a judge Wednesday for his first appearance where the state filed a motion for pre-trial detention.
“So I’m going to hold him, no bond. Will be set for pretrial detention … conditions just in case are no return to scene, no contact with victims or any witnesses, no weapons of any kind,” the judge said. [FULLSTORY]
